Advertising Labour a variation on the Freemium model.

Carpenters gossip while they wait patiently for work today, advertising their skill by placing their bag full of tools in front of them. Next to them is man with a set of paintbrushes placed atop a used paint can, doesn't take much guesswork to figure out why you'd want to hire him. What's the difference between sitting here like this with your kit and waiting at home for a phone call?
Have they been sitting here in this spot for so long that it feels like coming to work everyday? Would everyone have their regular places? Are they better known for being found here everyday? I'm curious to know why the use of the phone number scrawled on random pieces of wood or cardboard isn't as visible here as it has been in other capital cities. I don't recall it out either, curious indeed why this system hasn't taken off in Bangladesh or at least in this region. Has anyone seen it in other parts of Bangladesh?
